China donates 12 motorcycles to Malawi Police Service

In a demonstration of diplomatic benevolence, China has bestowed upon the Malawi Police Service a generous gift of 12 motorcycles, underscoring their unwavering commitment to fortify various facets of the country’s economy. The Chinese Ambassador to Malawi, Long Zhou, avowed a sustained dedication to aiding and abetting Malawi’s progress.

On his part, the Minister of Homeland Security, Ken Zikhale Ng’oma, expressed the Chakwera administration’s steadfast resolve to uphold and cultivate the symbiotic rapport shared between Malawi and the People’s Republic of China.

Simultaneously, the Inspector General of Police, Merlyne Yolamu, provided assurance that the newly acquired motorcycles would be judiciously deployed, proving instrumental in addressing criminal activities in remote locales. Yolamu emphasized their efficacy in combating crime, particularly in challenging terrains, thwarting the illicit transport of goods, and curbing human trafficking along the border districts.
