Speaking before a massive sea of supporters at a rally held at Sese ground in Area 24, Lilongwe, Chimwendo made it abundantly clear: Chakwera had absolutely no hand in Chilima’s death.
“Let me be crystal clear to everyone: those trying to exploit the death of Chilima for cheap political points are wasting their time. The truth is simple—Chakwera had no involvement whatsoever. The investigative report from Germany, the very one they cling to, doesn’t even hint at such nonsense,” Chimwendo thundered to the roaring crowd.
And if that wasn’t enough, Chimwendo offered a deeply personal glimpse into the President’s heartbreak, saying, “I have never seen President Chakwera so devastated in my life. For the first time, I saw him in tears. Only God knows the truth of what happened.”
